Laughton Village Hall is hall is equipped with a full size dance floor which is ideal for private functions such as weddings and parties. In terms of capacity, 86 people can enjoy a sit down meal or a maximum of 100 for a buffet and disco. Although we have an entertainment’s licence, we are not licensed for the sale of alcohol, so anyone requiring a bar would be responsible for obtaining the necessary licence or guests can just bring along their own tipple of choice.

Thanks to funding from the Parish Council and grants from FCC Community Foundation, The National Lottery and Ward Councillors, the kitchen and toilets have been recently renovated. The kitchen is a fully equipped commercial kitchen, with dishwasher, griddle, oven, warmer and hot water boiler. Ideal for large parties and events.

There is a fully refurbished toilet block with Gents, Ladies and Disabled toilets, incorporating baby changing facilities.

Improvements to the hall are ongoing so keep in touch if you have a future event in mind. Come and arrange a visit. It’s a great place to spend special occasions with family and friends.

The Village Hall’s outdoor facilities include a floodlit car park with 70 spaces which is covered by 24 hour CCTV surveillance. There is a well maintained football pitch with changing room which provides local teams with a home ground. We also have a fantastic playground which caters for children of all ages and abilities.

There are currently sessions available for regular clubs or one-off private hire. Please see below for regular events at the Village hall that you may wish to attend or call Ann Mitchell on 07914 844213 to book the hall for an event or to start a regular hire agreement.

Laughton Village Hall is owned by the Parish Council as sole trustee of the Laughton Miners Welfare Scheme. This is a charitable trust set up so the hall can be used to benefit the people of Laughton and surrounding areas.

Day to day the hall is leased to Laughton Village Hall CIO, a charitable incorporate organisation, registered with the Charity Commission. There are Seven volunteers which act as Trustees, two of these are parish councillors.

Laughton Village Hall CIO, deal with all day to day management of the hire of the hall.  Monies raised from hire of the hall is used in the upkeep of all internal areas. The charitable trust manages all external aspects.
